Portrait of Professor Gregory H. Robinson

The Department of Chemistry congratulates Prof. Gregory H. Robinson for his selection for the Lothar Tresp Outstanding Honors Professor Award. Robinson joined the Department of Chemistry faculty in 1995.  He is also the recipient of the Lamar Dodd Research Award and was named a University Foundation Professor.  He is the lead faculty member coordinating UGA’s participation in the Aspire Alliance IChange Network, a comprehensive effort to increase faculty diversity and the use of inclusive teaching practices in STEM fields.

From the Morehead Honors College website:

The Lothar Tresp Outstanding Honors Professor Award was originally named the Outstanding Honors Professor Award. The award was dedicated to Lothar Tresp in the mid-1990s. In 1960, Dr. Tresp began teaching Honors students as a professor of history. He became interim director of the Honors Program in 1965 and director in 1967. He retired from the University of Georgia in 1994. The Tresp Award recognizes superior teaching and dedication to Honors students.

Previous winners from Chemistry are Richard Morrison (2006) and John Garst (1975).
