Chemistry Major Alex Deltchev Honored As Student Employee

Portrait of Alexander Deltchev

Congratulations to UGA Chemistry major Alexander Deltchev, who was recently selected as one of the top 100 UGA student employees and will be honored at the Career Center’s awards luncheon on April 13.  Alex has been working as the lead Peer Learning Assistant (PLA) for CHEM 1212 classes for the past three years where he is responsible for managing the efforts of approximately 50-60 PLAs, coordinating their office hours, monitoring the Discord Q&A server, exam review sessions, annotating worksheets, and exams, and running weekly PLA meetings.  Alex is a graduating senior majoring in Chemistry and a Fulbright Fellowship finalist; his ultimate goal is to attend medical school.

During the second full week in April each year, the University of Georgia Career Center proudly presents the prestigious Student Employee of the Year award. The Career Center’s awards ceremony coincides with National Student Employment Week, a week devoted to honoring students who are working while attending college.
