To What Remains is the story of Project Recover, a small team of accomplished scientists, oceanographers, archaeologists, historians, researchers, and military veterans, who have dedicated their lives to scouring the depths of the ocean and the farthest corners of the earth, to search for, recover, and repatriate the remains of the more than 80,000 Americans missing in action since WWII.

Screening of the documentary To What Remains (1 hr, 21 min.) will be followed by a post-film conversation with alum Dr. Pat Scannon of Project Recover, Dr. John Morrow (UGA), and Dr. Timothy Yang (UGA).

A small reception will follow. Free and open to the public. To RSVP, email Alison.Godley@uga.edu.

For nearly three decades, founder Dr. Pat Scannon has been leading volunteer efforts to find America’s missing in action from past wars. Project Recover is a nonprofit that employs 21st-century technology and academic expertise to bring closure to MIA families.
